I wake up with one face.
Fall asleep with another.
I love faces. I always have. Most of the art in my home is a face of some sort. Abstract, pop, outsider, or straight up real - I find them easy to live with and good company.
How about you?
almond self-enclosed, and growing sweet--
all this universe, to the furthest stars
all beyond them, is your flesh, your fruit.
Now you feel how nothing clings to you;
your vast shell reaches into endless space,
and there the rich, thick fluids rise and flow.
Illuminated in your infinite peace,
a billion stars go spinning through the night,
blazing high above your head.
But in you is the presence that
will be, when all the stars are dead.
Rainer Maria Rilke
I couldn't agree with you more. If everyone would take a good look into the mirror, they would find a face for every belief they hold.
ReplyDeleteI don't have many faces hanging upon my walls, just a few. I love looking at the ones I have though because each holds the memory if when they were purchased.
that is so cool!!!!
ReplyDeletei am such a people watcher.....and i love watching people's faces. i also love taking pictures, but for some reason i rarely photograph people. perhaps because i am camera shy? and perhaps because i am a bit of a loner. :)
