I wake up with one face. Fall asleep with another. I love faces. I always have. Most of the art in my home is a face of some sort. Abstract, pop, outsider, or straight up real - I find them easy to live with and good company. How about you? A poem by Rainer Maria Rilke Buddha In Glory Center of all centers, core of cores, almond self-enclosed, and growing sweet-- all this universe, to the furthest stars all beyond them, is your flesh, your fruit. Now you feel how nothing clings to you; your vast shell reaches into endless space, and there the rich, thick fluids rise and flow. Illuminated in your infinite peace, a billion stars go spinning through the night, blazing high above your head...
Jane,
ReplyDeleteI must admit I j'adore the first "knocker". I have had knockers, peepholes, and doorbells. But wish I had had the kind you "speak" of where they open a little door to see who's there.
If I recall, when people came to my door, they first rang the doorbell, if I didn't arrive immediately they used the knocker and if that didn't work, they left. But not before I checked the "peephole" to see who was standing outside. LOL LOL

Jane,
ReplyDeleteSummer is good, but way to HOT. We have had 20 days of temperatures right at 100 and over with no rain in 45 days. Everything looks fried and going outside is down right UNBEARABLE!
I just know the weather up your way is NICE! I remember those lovely summers up north and also those dreadful winters. LOL LOL
Kris
