A few months ago my dining room went from yellow to black. A blue - black (there is such a thing) actually. We were having a lovely dinner with friends and the subject of the dining room color came up. Since we were sitting in the dining room surrounded by the chosen color it made sense.  "How do you like the black?" I ask.  *  "Oh, I thought it was blue."
