The PANTONE FASHION & HOME Color System is a vital tool for designers in the apparel, home furnishings and interior design industries for selecting and specifying color used in the manufacture of textiles and fashion. The PANTONE VIEW Colour Planner is a biannual trend forecasting tool that offers seasonal color direction and inspiration 24 months in advance for multiple usages, including menswear, women’s wear, activewear, cosmetics and industrial design. Introduced in 2004, PANTONE VIEW Home is a comprehensive forecasting tool for the home furnishings industry.

Below are the Pantone colors for 2012.

Top of the list: a favorite of mine, orange in a tangerine shade.

    Well shucks! I like all the colors on the chart except for the #1 color...tangerine. I just cannot get my head around any shade of orange. I believe it might be because in the 60's (which I think you can relate to), colors like harvest gold, olive green and rust/orange were all the rage. I hated those colors and I still have an aversion to them!!

    Every apartment we lived in after we were first married had olive green sculptured carpeting, harvest gold appliances (I even purchased a set of gold appliances because it was all the rage) and rust colored furniture. The only shade of orange I can live with is the earthy mediterranean terracotta. Love that color!

    Oh well, at least the color tangerine will bring smiles to some people! Guess that means that I will be seeing a lot of that color!

* dad , daddy , pa , papa, pop *my pop is the father of six girls and a self taught artist. One of my first memories of his art is a mural he did in charcoal on a large red wall in our living room. Tools that are used in particular fields or activities may have different designations such as Instrument , Utensil , Implement , Machine , or Apparatus .  tool * one who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool . A cretin . Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-esteem.  Tool * is an American rock band from Los Angeles , California . Formed in 1990. Komen for the Cure, has announced that it will end its longtime partnership with the Planned Parenthood.  Komen has been criticized in the past for donating to Planned Parenthood. The official response has always been that, despite the controversy surrounding some of its programs, the organization was the only one working to provide breast-health services to women in need in dozens of communities around the United States.
